Everyone here at InstantAction has been extremely busy working on the Legions Facebook App lately. I wanted to run through some of the features that you can expect to see now that it is live. At the bottom of this post you'll find the links to grab the app and get playing on Facebook. Here we go!
Leaderboards - Compare your top times with others and see where you stand.
Map Flyovers - Each map has a flyover so you can see the obstacles. Click for the videos.
Tutorial - Learn the ropes with this walk through of all the controls.
6 Maps - Including 4 completely new maps to time trials.
24 Routes - Each map has 4 different difficulty levels bringing the total amount of routes to 24.
New Beginner Routes - Having too much trouble with the harder routes? Try something a little easier.
You can grab the app by clicking this link: Legions Facebook App
Get in there and start trying to grab those top times. Invite your friends and see who's the best.
Thanks to everyone who worked on this to get it out the door. It really looks great.

UPDATE:
There are currently 2 know issues for which we are working on fixes :
If you experience an infinite "Downloading Now" screen, refreshing your browser should begin the download again properly. This is a temporary fix, we will have a proper one soon.
The Leaderboards are currently not displaying more than the 10 top scores. We know how badly you want to show up your friends (I know I do) and are working to have a remedy in place ASAP.
In my personal life, summer means a lot of things: flying kites on the beach, backyard BBQs, and day hiking trips to exotic locales. (Note pics above. Those were all taken within the last two weeks. I take summer very seriously.) But in my professional life, summer means a string of summer conferences. I've been doing a lot of planning for various events this summer and wanted to give everyone a heads up on where you can catch GarageGames this season, if you're interested in talking shop with us.
Casual Connect
When: July 21 - 23
Where: Seattle, WA
Casual Connect is one of my favorite conferences to meet a bunch of developers from all walks of industry. We'll have a booth set up on the second floor and will show our first alpha demos of Torque 2D, a game engine for making 2D games.
SIGGRAPH
When: August 3 - 7
Where: New Orleans, LA
SIGGRAPH is the premier graphics conference in the country. The latest research in all rendering tech (not just games) will be there, and so will we. Our reps there aren't manning a booth, but if you catch them, they can answer any questions you have about Torque 3D, our brand new 3D game engine.
PAX
When: September 4 - 6
Where: Seattle, WA
If you've never been to PAX, you're missing out on a good time. With more nerds than you can handle, you will find someone who also remembers your favorite old skool game. Stop by our booth to see the latest changes to InstantAction or talk some tech with the Torque reps.
Austin Game Developers Conference
When: September 15 - 18
Where: Austin, TX
Although this conference is a long ways off into the "Autumn" category, it is one of our favorite events of the year. We'll show off our latest R&D at the conference, as well as feature some up and coming game developers.
Hope to see you soon at a conference near you! If you have questions about any of these events, fire away in the comments below.

We had a TON of awesome, destructive pics submitted on the Legions Facebook fan page. This sounds cliche but we had a hard time picking the very best out of the 80+ submissions. Congratulations to:
Hey ActionWatchers!
The 2v2 Rokkitball Tournament has come to a close and the results are in. Team DzD took first place earning each of the participants 1000 ActionTokens, and coming in second place we have Team O_M_G earning it's members 500 ActionTokens. Below you'll find video footage of one of the matches as well as links for the final matches.

A very special thanks to ZanteWarrior for putting this one on and let this be a reminder, if you see a tournament listed on the forums, most likely Tokens will be attached as prizes. So compete and win big.
In celebration of the new Legions content, we are holding yet another Facebook photo contest. Since we all love explosions - I dare you to find one person who doesn't - we figured everyone would enjoy some destructive pics. Your mission is to take an in-game screenshot of the biggest and most creative explosion. Upload your picture to the Legions fan page and tag your character with your Facebook profile name. In addition, add a "comment" with your InstantAction username (so we know who you are).
The three best submissions will be awarded the COMPLETE set of Outrider skins and helmets. The deadline is 7/6 so keep your finger on the "print screen" button and blow stuff up!
With the launch of all the new goodies in Legions today we wanted to show some impressive footage brought to us by the great ZhouYu. I'll preface the video with his info from the youtube page. Click here for the high def version.
Seeing as there is a new build of Legions coming out soon, I
thought it might be time to capture some of my favourite caps from the
old build.
Therefore this video is not composed of caps chosen
for pragmatic value or efficiency, as after a year plus of playing
efficiency no longer interests me overmuch. Instead these caps have
been chosen because they both interest and challenge me. Some are
certainly more challenging than others, the nivosus route especially.
The music is Pendulum - Propane Nightmares.
As ever, enjoy.
Zhou.
