That's right, the mac beta is now open to the public. If you've got a mac and have been looking for some new games to play, InstantAction has you covered with 4 fancy new titles (and more coming soon).
The four games include:
Marble Blast Online (platformer/puzzle action)
Fallen Empire: Legions (FPS action)
Rokkitball (futuristic sports)
ThinkTanks (tank combat)
System requirements can be found here.
If you're familiar with the GIJoe PSAs you may want to take a look at this guy here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOMXZZT8MQQ

Why no Mac PPC support?
why does the log-in info page say to use a Windows PC, when I log in? That no Mac version is available yet.
Very insulting.
Why no warning before you register that PPC is not supported?
Please get your act together and communicate on your own website.
Thanks a lot.
Good luck.

From www.instantaction.com/mac, on the front page, before you register, under system specs:
MBO: All Intel Macs running Mac OS X v10.4.11 or later
ThinkTanks: All Intel Macs running Mac OS X v10.4.11 or later
RokkitBall: All Intel Macs OS X v10.5.4 or later, with Dedicated GPU - Nvidia 7 (or better), or ATI X1900 (or better)
Legions: All Intel Macs OS X v10.5.4 or later, with Dedicated GPU - Nvidia 7 (or better), or ATI X1900 (or better)
I'd say that's pretty clear that you need an Intel Mac and it's there before you register.

Don't suppose there's any chance of a Linux client coming down the pipes? The Mac branch should be similar enough to a Linux version that not much effort is required overall, and Linux users are always looking for more high-quality games on our platform. As it is, the site won't even let me register from Linux, so I can't test Wine, either (yes, I could go to the trouble of changing my user agent so that it would be none the wiser, but that often only serves to skew traffic data, so I tend to avoid it).
But anyway, on behalf of the Linux community that loves games: please, do consider this move.

A linux plugin would be MUCH appreciated, I solely use linux and have gotten everything from my snes emulator to WoW, to Warhammer, to Spore, running flawlessly. the fact of the matter is, who cares if mac kids get to play there just going to be pompous about there PPCs and suck it up in the end anyway.
