For kicks we enjoy making videos based around games that you can find on InstantAction.  This time we decided to take on Lore: Aftermath.  Watch and enjoy.

InstantAction and the Crunchies

The Crunchies hosted by GigaOm, VentureBeat, Silicon Alley Insider, and TechCrunch, have come and gone.  I'm here to cover our presence there right now along with the winner of our Legions computer.

InstantAction was there to host the afterparty.  We had computers set up running InstantAction so people could check out all the games.

There were also many well known faces.  From Mark Zuckerberg (CEO of a little site called Facebook) to MC Hammer who was there to promote DanceJam.com (Didi was very excited to get her picture taken with him).

We were also raffling off the machine that we made for the Crunchies.  In this blog post I will be announcing the winner.  The winner is, Nik Fletcher, from Downloadsquad.  Congrats Nik!

We also had this awesome Legions stand up of the Raider created for the event that we'll be using in the future.  You can view Derek Manning suited up over at the Legions blog.

Finally, we were handing out some cards that unlocked exclusive "crunchies" avatars.  I now bestow that promo code to everyone.  "crunchies".  Just enter "crunchies" into the promo area of your profile, and the avatars are yours.  Did you get that?

Lore Name The Map Contest

That's right, we've got some images from the new map that is coming to Lore.  However, that map does not yet have a name.  That's where you come in.  

Take a look at the screens of the new map.  Read the description of the map, and come up with an awesome name.  

Head to the forums and post your best name or names for the new map.  We'll be accepting submissions for 2 weeks, that's until Feb. 12th.  At that time we'll grab the top 10 or so names and begin the voting round, which will also last for 2 weeks.  

PRIZE!  Besides using your name for the map, the winner will also receive access to the Lore MAVLab.  If it happens that the winner already has the MAVLab we will find another prize to award the winner.  

So check out the images and description below, and get naming.

"The battle continues deep in the Artic tundra where fields of snow and ice stretch on as far as the eye can see. Here in these barren lands, two factions have setup fortifications as they dig in for what will be a long and hard fought battle for control of the sector. Victory will only be achieved by annihilating your opponents and to help you do this capture of the strategic 'Forward Base', located between the two factions, will bring its various weapons, repair facilities and deployment options to your side!"

Ace of Aces Tournament + Gift

HighwayStar has proposed the idea of an Ace of Aces tournament and he wants you to sign up.  He's called the developers out on this one too, so expect the challenge to be great.  If this is something that you might be interested head to the forum discussion on the Aces Tournament and give your input.

Rokkitball Tourney Wrap-Up

The Rokkitball Tournament has come and gone.  It was a mighty success.  For your viewing pleasure I present the first match of the 2 round finals.  The match was between:
