A big feature was launched today that should change the way people can play on InstantAction.
We listened to a lot of feedback about being able to get into the game as quickly as possible. That's why we now cut the barrier to entry down. That's right - beginning today, you will no longer have to register for an account on InstantAction prior to playing. You simply can try the games as a guest. Playing as a guest allow new people to try InstantAction more quickly and easily than ever before.
Questions:
Does this mean you are charging to be a registered InstantAction user?
No. Registration is free. The point of being able to play as a guest is to allow people to try InstantAction more quickly and easily than before.
As a guest, will I be able to do everything a registered user can do on InstantAction?
Features available to a guest will be limited. You'll need to register to use features such as using chat, adding friends, receiving messages in your inbox, and purchasing content in the store. Remember, registration is free.
What will my guest name be / How will I know if someone is a guest on InstantAction?
It will be pretty easy to spot a guest, as their name will appear as "guest" plus a randomly generated combo of letters and numbers. Example: guestb74a0b515cc
As a registered user, how else will this affect me?
You'll probably be seeing an influx of guests brought into your games. We encourage you to help the guests get up to speed as quickly as possible (like, for instance, let them know about the Time Trials and Tutorials for Legions that exist at PlayLegions.com). We look highly upon active users that are helpful and good behavior is rewarded (hint, hint).
If I registered before this, will I still have my account name?
Yes, your account remains untouched if you've confirmed your account. If you haven't confirmed, it is best to do this so your name does not expire (depends on when you signed up, but typically 7 days after). If you have questions about this, you can contact support@instantaction.com
Do I have to download the InstantAction plug-in?
Yes - The plug-in is still required to play any game on InstantAction so regardless of whether you are a new user, returning user, or a first time guest, you'll need to do the 1 time download of the plug-in to play games on InstantAction.

Will guest users be moderated like normal users?
Yes. Even though users are signing in as guest and aren't tied to an account we will still be able to monitor and moderate their behavior. Guest users will be held to the same standards regarding language,
sportsmanship and community interaction. We can track these users despite their anonymous status.
Can I not allow anonymous users in my party?
Yes. Hosts can set their parties to not allow anonymous users, by clicking on the "My Party" link, and clicking off "Allow Anonymous Users"
Can anonymous users join the Shazbot dedicated servers?
Currently anonymous users can join the dedicated servers. However, we are working on having selected Shazbot parties for registered users only.
Can anonymous users chat in game?
Yes. While anonymous players cannot chat within the party, they can still chat within games. If an anonymous user is being abusive, please do not hesitate to report them.
