We had a bunch of great submissions for the Lore Decal Contest. But ultimately Max Gaming Technology chose submissions from DcDomain, AceSnyp3r, Trebuchet, Gheist, Lancer, J_Gold, Demoman.

This contest is simple. You need to design a decal for a MAV/mech. We've had a lot of submissions and want to get everyone in, so to choose who gets in first we've decided to hold this contest. Everyone who participates will gain access to the beta sooner than those who signed up here.
If you've signed up and don't want to design a decal, sit tight, you'll get in eventually. But if you really want to get in and want a chance to get your decal in the game, go ahead and design it and post your creation in this thread.

That rhymed! Anyway, wanted to share these wallpapers that the guys over at Max Gaming sent my way. The first one is some MAVs just sitting around in a hangar ready for action. The second one has some MAVs with nukes going on all around them. You know, just like mech combat should have.
In addition I'd like to share a video that walks you through the MAV Lab. This is the area where you'll customize your mech (MAV). Take a look at the many customization options.

Forum goers may have noticed a new section in the forums. Lore: Aftermath now has a forum section. The first post is a thread to get into the private beta. All you need to do is post something in that thread and we'll get you in just as soon as we begin collecting names. You can find the discussion board here.
